welcome to the fastnesses of Jenny's blog
It’s no exaggeration to say that the world has been waiting for this!
Like most Europeans, the sight of all you wonderful Americans qeueing for hours to vote for the right man has elated folks in Germany who had begun to fear that the American dream – our dream, the dream of humanity – was dead. Next time Obama comes to Berlin, he’ll be the new US president – and I’ll bet the crowd he speaks to at the Brandenburg Gate will be even bigger than the one that cheered him last time her was here!
Roon, I believe that faint roar I heard earlier today was not an overhead plane but the sounds of celebration over in Europe!
So, is this what we have been waiting for? What a diastor for the country.
Thank you, thank you! You have just proven that my google search rankings have risen to the point that the one and only post on a political subject that I’ve written in three and a half years of blogging, published November 2008, can be found by someone. Either that, or you actually went back through all of my posts to the beginning. Or did a search on “Obama” within my blog even though it’s about hiking and history. By the way, “disaster” is spelled with an “e.”
